Tabitha Brown is Goals: The Elevation of Tab

To say it’s been a pleasure to see Tabitha Brown blossom before our eyes is an understatement. We’ve watched her grow from our favorite internet auntie to a Vegan influencer and in-demand social media personality. Her story is just as inspirational as her mini social media reads, so read all about it here!

Hailing from Eden, North Carolina, Brown began her career as a struggling, part-time actress after dropping out of college at 19 and moving to California. When her stay in Laguna Niguel couldn’t be funded on the latter half of a dollar and a dream, she returned to North Carolina where she stayed in Greensboro for five years. There she got a job interviewing celebrities that performed at the Greensboro Coliseum.

In 2004, she moved back to Los Angeles to pursue stand-up comedy and soon began traveling between North Carolina and L.A. to care for her mother. After the passing of her mother in 2007, Brown began acting for a short period before developing chronic pain and fatigue. This led to her introduction to veganism, and subsequently, the vegan influencer lifestyle.

“Go to their deli, ask for this TTLA, add a pickle—and watch your life change,” Brown uttered between chews in her 2017 Facebook video reviewing the Whole Foods vegan BLT. “My life is changing, right before my eyes.”

An early testament to the wonders of praying and manifesting, Brown’s raw, social media review of the “TTLA” was the first step in a pivot to stardom, as the company hired her to travel the world as a brand ambassador following the success of the video. She made a TikTok account in 2020 and quickly amassed millions of followers interested in tapping into Auntie Tab’s vegan cooking tips, family time, and prayerful words.

She was signed to the Creative Artists Agency in 2020 and shortly after began hosting several digital media shows, launched a hair care line, and—after sending the internet into a frenzy in many ways with her vegan carrot hot dog—published her first book which went on to become a New York Times No. 1 bestseller. 2022 made way for another cookbook, Cooking from the Spirit: Easy, Delicious, and Joyful Plant-Based Inspirations, in addition to a clothing and cooking collection at Target.

If you’ve been keeping tabs on Auntie Tab, you’ll see she’s everywhere. From guest starring in your favorite TV shows like The Chi to appearances on Good Morning America and the Jennifer Hudson show, to up and down your social media timelines and in your local Target.

Tabitha Brown is here to stay in 2023 and we are loving every bit of her elevation.
