For the first time in history, an album of the year nominee will host the Grammy’s Premiere ceremony. 3 X Grammy nominee Jhene Aiko will be hosting center stage at the telecast event on March 14th at noon PT. Yes, that’s right! You read correctly! The 32-year old R&B singer will be hosting the ceremony, where most of the awards will be handed out. The ceremony will follow the 63rd Grammy Awards at 5 pm PT.
The event will kick off with a superior all-nominee performance that will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the classic Marvin Gaye track, ‘Mercy, Mercy Me.‘
The line-up includes Rufus Wainwright, Poppy, Burna Boy, jazz band Terri Lyne Carrington + Social Science, blues musician Jimmy “Duck” Holmes, classical pianist Igor Levit, and Latin electropop musician Lido Pimietrita.
The telecast will also be streamed live internationally on www.grammy.com.
